  What would you do?

  if a long time poster on a board started to tell you their hard luck story..threatened suicide over their misfortune..and then started to appeal for money?

  just wondering how others would handle it?

  can we really trust what others say?

  Cancer

  you might think i'm being picky here, please dont take this the wrong way.

  the thing is, i'm stuggling with my health at the moment and am going in hospital to see if my cancer has spread.. heres my gripe: some people (noone on this board) say to me, over and over, that they know someone who had skin cancer and they're fine now....how they can just remove the mole and everything is fine.

  I hope all goes well!

  We get checked every year or two for lesions..sunspots.. tags etc.!

  Both hubby and I were sun worshippers when young!

  The Dr we were going to was a D.O. I don't know much about M.D. and D.O. but I get the feeling they are one step way from a M.D.

  Anyway..hubby had a sore spot on his face. The Dr had someone in his offce training him. He was asked to look at hubby's face and he said it was Cancer.Well the other Dr said..no it isn't. and proceeded to freeze it. A Lot!. Now when hubby shaves it gets raw. We are going to go to another Dr that is a dermatologist MD. Hubby keeps remembering what that other Dr said and he wants to know for sure!.

  We have had several places "Frozen or Burned .(Hate those brown spots) We say we are going to get "Zapped".That other Dr just made us both nervous. Need to check it out by a second opinion!

  I had to take antibiotics whenever I had dental work done. I had leaky valves!(No gummy rings though)

  Really!

  Then I quit "Smoking" and the valves quit leaking! Imagine that! No more antibiotics.

  What are they going to do to you? Is it Open heart or a retread job?(Veins) You're probably saying...Come on October!It would be all over and you would be all better!Are you learning about fat grams and all that stuff? A friend had to be re-veined a while back and he won't eat anything with more than 3 grams of fat in it!

  CNN interview preempted

  the interview with jean kraus' daughter was supposed to air tonight on connie chung.

  cnn called today and said it was pre-empted until next week.

  that's a shame because it took a lot of courage for michelle, jean's daughter, to speak out.. i hope they do show the interview next week.. devon mcbride.

  This person has been told of theSuicide hotline. They have also talked with the owner of the board that they post on.They post in the library. They have no worldly goods or Drivers license. There would be no way to send this person a money order..they would need ID.to cash it. And I surely wouldn't send cash. I am also not that gullible to believe everyone. It has just come up on another board and I really needed some feedback.

  You feel sorry for them and want to help and at the same time don't want to be made a fool of!

  How Many Here Have Been Shunned?

  as most of you already know, the jehovah's witnesses are covering an article in their august kingdom ministry to be discussed the weeks of 8/19 and 8/26 which details how they are to shun and avoid those who are no longer members of their organization, even immediate family members.. .

  undoubtedly this article has been written to reinforce to the rank&file jehovah's witnesses the shunning policy, so as to tighten the ranks and prevent members from having the opportunity to learn the abundant contradictions and hypocrisies found within watchtower doctrine and practice from any who may have left.. this policy also serves to divide families and attempt to shame or abuse those whom have chosen to no longer be jehovah's witnesses, for whatever reason.. that much is obvious.

  in recent days this topic has been discussed in detail in various threads.

  First..Joel Bear..You aren't from Missouri are you?

  And second..I was not allowed to attend my JW In laws anniversary party.I might have stumbled someone!.But I am allowed to go to their farm every weekend and do "Chores" They even eat with me and go shopping with me! Now I have been invted to go visit her grandson and grandaughter that are disfellowshipped with them!.

  I guess you call that selective shunning?

  ps..I have been dissasociated for a least 25 years!

  Have openly told my JW Mother in law that I am NOT a believer!

  Maybe I need to say it louder....

  Can't wait untill they have the K.M. on shunning read at their Ministry school. We shall see what happens then!
